This Shipping Policy sets out the conditions applicable to the processing, preparation, and delivery of orders placed on the Salt&Sugar Shoes website, based in Oliveira de Azeméis, Aveiro, Portugal.

This policy applies to all orders placed through our website, with delivery available in Continental Portugal, Azores, Madeira, and other countries where applicable.


2. Order Processing

  • All orders are processed on business days (Monday to Friday), excluding holidays.
  • Orders confirmed and paid before 5:00 PM are usually processed the same day.
  • Orders placed after this time or during weekends/holidays will be processed on the next business day.

3. Shipping Times

Estimated delivery times vary depending on the destination:

Continental Portugal

  • Estimated delivery: 24 to 72 business hours after dispatch.

Islands (Azores and Madeira)

  • Estimated delivery: 3 to 10 business days, depending on the island and carrier.

International Shipments

  • Delivery time depends on the destination country. The approximate time will be indicated at checkout.

Note: Occasional delays may occur due to external factors (weather, strikes, holidays, high shipping volumes, customs procedures, etc.).


4. Shipping Costs – Free Shipping

The company offers free shipping worldwide, regardless of:

  • order value,
  • number of products,
  • or destination country.

No additional shipping fees are applied at checkout.

Note: Customs duties, when applicable in countries outside the EU, are the responsibility of the customer.


5. Carriers

Orders are shipped using the following carriers:

  • GLS – main carrier for Continental Portugal, Islands, and many international destinations.
  • DHL – mainly used for international shipments outside Europe or when faster delivery is required.

The carrier is automatically selected based on the delivery address and service type.
The customer will be informed of the assigned carrier in the shipping confirmation email.


6. Tracking Number

Once dispatched, the customer will receive an email with:

  • shipping confirmation,
  • tracking code (when available),
  • and a link to track the shipment.

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

The company is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from:

  • incorrect, incomplete, or outdated addresses,
  • absence of the recipient.

In such cases, additional shipping costs may apply.


8. Undelivered / Returned Orders

If the order is returned due to:

  • delivery failure,
  • expired collection period,
  • refusal to accept,

The customer will be contacted and may choose:

  • reshipment (with additional cost), or
  • refund of the product value (excluding shipping costs).

9. Damages During Transport

If the order arrives damaged:

  • Photograph the packaging and the product,
  • Contact us within 48 hours of receipt.

Salt&Sugar Shoes will open a case with the carrier and proceed with replacement or an appropriate solution.


10. Changes to This Policy

Salt&Sugar Shoes reserves the right to update this Shipping Policy at any time.
